Miami, 1991
When his bloodthirsty impulses can no longer be ignored, young Dexter Morgan must learn to channel his inner darkness as he transitions from apprentice to vengeful serial killer under the guidance of his father, Harry. Christian Slater is older than James Remar was when Dexter (2006) first aired.
It’s followed by Dexter: Resurrection (2025)
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but by the end I was pleasantly surprised by how much it felt like I was watching the old Dexter series. In the first season, Dexter would often flash back to a period of his past, and this final season is like stepping back into those walls, but magnified.
This latest series is even more so
Also, as dark and sad as the original series was, it was also full of dark humor. I hope the entire series is as good as the first episode.
The acting is at its best
I almost lost it when I saw young Batista, ha! And oh God, don’t get me started on Deb!
