Elite -1: Why is B gagged?
Chronology
The untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies who were once friends, united as brothers who forever changed the fate of Cybertron. Chris Hemsworth, Keegan-Michael Key, Brian Tyree Henry and director Josh Cooley discuss the true identities of the Transformers and share what made them excited to travel to Cybertron. Megatron’s original name D-16 is a reference to the Japanese serial number of the original Generation 1 Megatron toy released by Takara in 1984. The letter D is short for Destron, the Japanese name for the Decepticons used in older media, while the number 16 referred to the original Megatron toy as the sixteenth release in the Japanese toy line. When the Iacon 5000 participants transform for the race, the purple Transformer jet already has a pair of red light effects floating behind it, attached to nothing, before it transforms into a jet.
Shockwave: He wouldn’t stop talking
Elite -1: Even when he was unconscious? Shockwave: ESPECIALLY when he was unconscious!. There are two scenes worth lingering over in the end credits. One is mid-credits and features Badassitron, and the other features Megatron towards the end of the end credits. Several international releases of the film (including the UK) were edited to remove Orion’s “finger transformation” a few seconds earlier, as well as changing any mention of Bee’s “knife hands” to instead refer to them as “sword hands”.

Last night my wife and I watched Transformers One (2024) in theaters. The plot follows two minor Transformers on Cybertron who want to help their leader find the "Matrix," a powerful artifact that could restore energy to their people, end their dependence on mining, and possibly change the course of their future. As they search for the Matrix, they uncover secrets from their past, revealing that not everything is as it seems, and the dark truth about Cybertron could change existence as they know it.
Transformers One is a brilliant new direction for the franchise
The film is directed by Josh Cooley (Toy Story 4) and stars Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Brian Tyree Henry (Bullet Train), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Keegan-Michael Key (Wonka), Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire) and Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix). The animation is top-notch, and the character dynamics, dialogue and voice cast are all spot on. The story has clever twists and turns as the characters discover their true selves, their abilities and how they fit into the wider Transformers universe. The chemistry between the characters is fantastic, and once the transformations begin, the film really takes off. The film features clever subplots and two epic final battles that were fantastic.
We thoroughly enjoyed it
Overall, Transformers One is a fantastic reboot of the series and I hope it gets many sequels. I would rate it 8-8.5/10 and highly recommend it.
