Chronology
Delia Balmer, a nurse at the agency, met Sweeney, who confessed to killing his ex-girlfriend. Balmer rebuilt her life to deal with Sweeney seven years after his arrest for another murder.
Based on a true story
The bodies were dumped in the canals of Rotterdam (not Amsterdam) and London. Mostly thanks to Anna Maxwell Martin’s performance.
Finally she has a role that showcases her invaluable talent
Shaun Evans brings all the awkwardness to a role that I’m sure deeply disturbed him as an actor. He’s been one of my all-time favorites ever since his brilliant turn as the young Inspector Morse.
Please let them win ALL the awards
It’s hard to watch him play such a dark, tormented soul, but that’s when you know you’re watching someone with such star power – you can’t take your eyes off him. Ann’s acting skills are simply off the charts in terms of the depth of emotion, from uncomfortable humor to deep pain.
