Miami, 1991. Hall’s, February 1, 1971. In Episode 4, Blockbuster employee Deb and her friend wear dark blue short-sleeved shirts as part of their uniform. In 1991, employees wore light blue long-sleeved shirts. Short sleeves weren’t worn until 4-5 years later. Followed by Dexter: Resurrection (2025). I went into this with pretty low expectations and mostly just excited for Resurrection. The beginning of the first episode was scary with the montages and the CGI cop car, and I was like “oh my god this is going to fail”. By the end of the first episode I was eating crow because the actors were so in character and the story was immense. Even though we already know a lot of the story, the first episode had a few surprises that added depth to the story. It introduced some of the characters we’ve come to know and love, and added some context to the decisions those characters made. One episode in and I’m already hooked!
